The press conference will be devoted to the possibilities of identification, mapping and
assessment of natural ecosystems and their services, as well as their application in
environmental assessments of hydropower projects. Participants will be introduced to the
modern concept of ecosystem services of river basins and modern tools for their assessment.
The results of pilot assessments for the Dniester basin and other rivers of the Eastern
Partnership countries will be presented.

On Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 16.00 in the conference hall of the IPN agency,
Printing House, st. Pushkin 22, of. 446, the International Association of River Guardians
“Eco-TIRAS” will publish the results of the project “Ecosystem Services and Hydroenergy:
Pilot Application of European Instruments in the River Basins of the Eastern Partnership
Countries”.
