For a month, the NGO «Ecosphera» searched for trees with unique stories that have historical, cultural or ecological significance for the community. In total, we identified 16 trees for the national selection to participate in the international competition «European Tree of the Year». Everyone can participate in the vote, but we will take into account only unique votes.

In 2023, Ukraine took part in this competition for the first time, presenting an apple tree from Sumy region, which is already over 220 years old. In total, more than 14 thousand people voted for the apple tree colony. According to the results of the competition, the Ukrainian tree took third place!

We suggest that you familiarize yourself with the stories of the trees and vote for the tree that, in your opinion, should represent Ukraine at the competition «European Tree of the Year».
