In December, the NGO «Ekosphera» presented a new website, www.savecarpathianforest.org, through which anyone who sees signs of illegal logging or other logging violations during logging will be able to report the incident online.
To do this you need to go to the site and click the active button «MAKE A VIOLATION». Then fill in the template from which to select tags with existing types of forest violations, such as “illegal logging”, “felling in the season of silence” or “watercourse skidding”. Then enter the coordinates and upload a photo or video.
Presented site is not only a tool for recording forest violations by public activists and experts, but also an excellent information resource for monitoring the effectiveness of the State environmental inspectorate and law enforcement agencies.
The site can be useful for those who are interested in the problems of the Carpathian forests, law enforcement agencies, authorities, journalists.
